After a devastating fire in 2006, Crestview Apartments was left structurally damaged and had to be vacated. All 149 residents were relocated and a comprehensive renovation plan was developed by WHA. In 2007, a three-year, $7 million restoration began. Supported by a $1.6 million grant from the City of Wilmington, $1 million in federal earmarks and $2 million in energy related upgrades were provided by Honeywell, today this ten-story, 149 unit building is one of the safest and greenest buildings in the City.
